We are a Chicago based interior design firm that delivers thoughtful interiors that translate the client’s vision into reality. LDI cherishes quality client relations while guiding them through each step of the design process. From small to large scale residential projects, LDI offers a great deal of design services. Space planning, furniture and finish selections, color coordination and producing schemes are just some of the many services we offer.
"Creativity is intelligence having fun” - in other words, LDI strives to produce spaces unlike the ordinary that provide both function and purpose. While fusing a broad range of styles from ultra-modern and eclectic to the traditional, It all starts with a concept that soon develops into a space carefully designed for each individual user. Currently working on projects in Chicago, Florida and New York, we are humbled and genuinely grateful for the responsibility and trust the clients place in LDI and the relationships that have developed with them.
LAURIE DEMETRIO, FOUNDER AND INTERIOR DESIGNER
Laurie has devoted much of her life to Interior Design, while continually learning and perfecting her craft. Laurie embodies sophistication and simplicity with a fun unexpected twist, which explains LDI’s approach to designing interiors. After receiving a B.A. in design from the University of Notre Dame, she attended The Harrington Institute of Interior Design, where she earned a B.F.A in Interior Design. Her passions soon led her to Paris to advance her studies and continue her research. Following 11 years of working as a designer with Jessica Lagrange Interiors in Chicago, Laurie Demetrio Interiors was founded in April 2014, where she has continued to pursue her life’s passion. Using her well trained eye, knowledge and innate sense of style, she continues to build LDI into an honest and successful company.
Matthew Ward, Business Manager
Matthew, the man behind the scenes, earned his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from The University of Iowa in 1997. Since then, he has worked in the investment industry within various capacities - financial/business analyst at JP Morgan Chase and as a Proprietary Fixed Income Trader at Singer Trading. He may not be an Interior Designer but there is no way LDI could do it without him. With his background in financial and business ventures, he keeps the project budgets in line and the projects on track.
